What independence is worth

Enter the integrator quote you've received — or your expected technology budget. We'll estimate what right-sizing the spec and running a competitive bid typically saves, after our consulting fee.

A conservative planning estimate, not a guarantee. It applies typical ranges — roughly 8–12% from right-sizing over-spec, 10–15% from competitive bidding, less a ~7.5% consulting fee. Every project differs; many save more. The point stands: a sole-sourced quote is the most expensive way to buy AV.

How can I save money even after paying a consultant?

Two ways. First, we right-size the specification — trimming over-spec and gear you'll never use. Second, we put the design out to competitive bid among qualified integrators. Both routinely lower the price more than our fee costs, so even after paying us you net out ahead.

Are these savings guaranteed?

No — this is a planning estimate using conservative, typical ranges, and every project is different. Some projects save more, some less. What's consistent is the mechanism: a sole-sourced quote has no price discipline, and competition plus right-sizing reliably bends the number down.

What do your consulting fees run?

Generally about five to ten percent of the project. The calculator above applies a fee so you see your NET position — what you actually pay, all-in, versus the sole-sourced quote you'd otherwise accept.

What if my project is already quoted?

That's a great time to call. We can review the existing quote for padding and over-spec, benchmark it, and often rebid the remaining scope to recover real savings even mid-project.
